About the village

The village of Chelmorton is situated at about 1000 foot in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park between Bakewell to the south and Buxton to the north. The village has a rich history running from Neolithic times through the Roman period and is particularly noted for retaining its characteristic medieval field system.

Chelmorton is an ideal base for visitors as it is in easy reach of all the well known attractions of the Peak District National Park and provides excellent walking and cycling opportunities.
